MateLink (맞테 헬퍼) Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-09-17
Draft — not ready for publication
Sections marked below are placeholders that have not been verified against how the app actually behaves. Complete them before submitting this app to Google Play. An inaccurate privacy policy is a legal and policy risk.
This policy explains how MateLink (맞테 헬퍼) handles your information. Unlike our other apps, MateLink uses an account and stores data on a server, so please read this carefully. The app is in development and this policy is a draft.
Information we collect
MateLink requires an account. Sign-in is available through Google and through email, and creating an account means information associated with that sign-in method is processed.
When you use the app, the following are stored on our backend: your profile including your nickname, apps you register as being in development, connections with other developers, testing and install activity, feedback you submit, and point balances and related events.
TODO — VERIFY BEFORE PUBLISHING. Enumerate precisely which fields are stored for each of the above, and confirm exactly what is retrieved from the Google sign-in profile. List each field explicitly rather than describing it in general terms.
How your information is used
Your information is used to operate the service: to identify your account, show your registered apps to other developers, match you with testing partners, record testing progress, and deliver feedback.
What other users can see
TODO — VERIFY BEFORE PUBLISHING. This is the most important section for a matching service. State exactly which parts of a profile and which registered app details are visible to other users, and whether feedback is attributed or anonymous. Users must be able to understand what they are exposing before they sign up.
Data storage and third parties
MateLink uses Google Firebase, including Firestore, to store account and activity data. This means your data is processed by Google as part of providing that service.
TODO — VERIFY BEFORE PUBLISHING. Confirm the Firebase services in use and the region your data is stored in, and link to Google's applicable privacy terms. Also confirm whether any analytics or crash reporting SDK is included.
Data retention and deletion
The app includes an account deletion feature. Deleting your account removes your profile and associated records, including registered apps, connections, activity records, and feedback.
TODO — VERIFY BEFORE PUBLISHING. Confirm how long data is retained after deletion, whether any records are kept in anonymised form, and how a user can request deletion if they can no longer sign in.
Children's privacy
TODO — VERIFY BEFORE PUBLISHING. Confirm the intended audience and state the appropriate position, consistent with your Google Play Console declaration.
Contact
TODO — VERIFY BEFORE PUBLISHING. An app that collects personal data needs a working contact method for privacy requests. Add one before publishing.
